Little Waltham Tennis Court and play areas

This page is to keep you updated regarding the re-opening of play facilities managed by the Parish Council.

 

The Tennis Court

Although this area is now in Tier 3 restrictions the rules state that courts may remain open.  The tennis court is therefore open for the purposes of tennis only and those using it should observe social distancing and make sure they use hand sanitiser as the equipment is not cleaned.  

The Children's play area

Children's play areas are also permitted to remain open but please note the rules set out below still apply.

At the meeting on 7th July 2020 Little Waltham Parish Council undertook a detailed play area Risk Assessment  and will be re-opening the children's play area on the afternoon of 24th July 2020.  However users are required to abide by the rules set out below for their own safety -

  • As the equipment will not be sanitized please use hand sanitisers and wipe the equipment before use
  • Maintain a social distance of at least 2 meters (6 feet) between yourself and others
  • Avoid touching your eyes nose and mouth and do not allow children to put their mouths on the play equipment
  • Only one household group per piece of equipment and if the area is busy please come back later
  • Do not eat or drink in the play area
  • If you have any litter or used PPE please dispose of it in the bin or take it home
  • Do not enter the play area if you or a member of your household has Coronavirus symptom

The Parish Council will continue the review the use of recreational facilities and ask that residents respect and follow the rules as set out above.
