Update from GP Surgery regarding flu vaccines

Little Waltham Parish Council has received the following update from the GPs surgery at Brook Hill regarding the flu vaccine scheme as follows -

Flu Vaccination Programme 2020/2021

There have been a lot in the press regarding the supply of, this year’s, influenza vaccines.  We will like to reassured you that the supply for children at risk (nasal Fluenz) have been unaffected.

The rest of our supply is temporarily affected. We will be getting some delivery of our stock but it will be spread over the coming months.

More clinics will be added as soon as our supply arrives. We have been assured that there will be enough vaccines and we ask you to check our website daily for an update. We would ask that you do not call our reception teams for delivery dates as we will publish, on the website and be in contact, as soon as they arrive.

With regards to the 50-65 year olds who are not at risk, but  whom are now entitled to a flu vaccines this year, we have been advised to only offer vaccines to this group once we have vaccinated our at risk group of patients. All carers of those patients of ours that are shielding are also advised to seek a flu vaccine from a chemist.

We thank you for your patience at this difficult time
